I had a friend in high school who's dad was an ex Marine drill sgt. Any time a boy came to pick up one of his 4 daughters he'd be sitting in his chair with his sabers mounted behind him cleaning a gun. The funny part was, since I was a friend of hers, I was actually there to see him running through the house at the sound of the doorbell to sit in his chair. I used to think this was funny, but now that I have a daughter, I see the merits in it.

Does anyone have any other tips? The truth is i hate the idea of my daughter dating anyone.
