I'm a first time dad at the age of 29, my daughter (Ellie) was born in March 2011 after an awkward rather than difficult pregnancy and labour, since then she has been a absolute delight, with a few as to be expected difficulties along the way with feeding and alike, we seem to be getting the hang of it now mind.

As i said she is a delight and not a problem at all but a week before she was due i lost my job and since then have been out of work, due to the obvious financial issues of not having a job, my wife is going back to work in August, i will therefore become Ellie's main carer on a day to day basis. I'm actually looking forward to looking after her and taking her to baby groups, walking, swimming etc.

I was just wondering how many of the members on here are in the same situation? How did it feel turning up to a baby group for the first time and possibly being the only dad there? Has there been any stigma towards you from course leaders or even mothers?
